What is Base64?
Base64 turns any data into a safe alphabet of 64 characters (A–Z, a–z, 0–9, +, /) so it can travel through systems designed for plain text — email attachments, JSON payloads, data URLs, and basic auth headers. It is encoding, not encryption: anyone can decode it, so never use it to hide secrets.
This tool is Unicode-safe (emoji and Arabic text encode correctly) and runs entirely in your browser.
